Yo… yo … yo… wassup??? Er… right… hello to everyone from dedgoodland!!! It’s May, and the office is abuzz with political fever… We were thinking of running ourselves, but reckon that The Monster Raving Loony Party have nicked all the best ideas… So, rather than take over your Living Room with ostentatious displays of fake bonhomie (who says we’re cynical???), we’re asking you to lock down your stereo, iPod, or handy Walkman Cassette player (remember them?) cos we’ve got a blinging new album straight from the West Coast plus all the usual bumpf. So read on…

new release

Hip-hop yah don’t stop…. This month, we’re bringing you Sonic Bling (CDGML 8500) - quite possibly the most bang up-to-date take on hip-hop, rap & r ‘n’ b in the known universe, ever… Brought to you from our urban collective, it’s so fly we reckon it’ll be the R.O.C to your production. Your very own slice of spring bling, filled with catchy hooks and sultry vocals, it’s da bomb fo’ shizzle!!!
Tracks of the moment are Break It Off for its infectious samples, and Miss Lovely for its cool ‘n’ breezy vocals (the Best Lyric on the Album award goes to: miss lovely/ lets pop some bubbly)!!! Also, for the kids out there who don’t want to get corrupted, you can listen to the non-profanity webmixes, plus exclusive white label track Here We Go at www.playdedgood.com (available from 15th April 2005)

IF YOU LIKE THAT YOU’LL LOVE THIS

The Ying to Bling’s Yang, the cream to its strawberries, or the Redbull to its vodka, if you prefer, is Urban Jams (CDGML 7600). A come together of smoother British edge r ‘n’ b with urban licks and sensuous soul. Brought to you by infamous ded good collabo Joy & Knight, it’s hooked all the way up and is slicker than a limber Pharell Williams covered in baby oil… mmmmm… (ed: that’s enough of that!!!).
IF YOU LIKED THEM BOTH YOU’LL DEFINITELY LOVE THIS

Urban (CDGML 5400), a mixed bag of garage funk and old skool drum ‘n’ bass not to mention some ultra cool retro ‘Bullitt’-esque vibes (sorry, not supposed to mention that!) - ded good revive the 45, check out Le Funque, our very own contemporary classic! Between these three albums, we reckon you’re sorted with the soundtrack to your summer - accessorise with Remy, Jacobs, attitood & don’t forget to pass the Courvoisier – (you can see what we’ve been doing over spring).

    winner!

Keepin’ it real for the fans now: we’re sending out a massive big-up to Laura from Endemol who was Chillin’ with our Easy prize (spot the CDGML 7800 album plug) - a spa day with goodies for her then!!!

    show us yours

Hopefully most of you have now received your ‘pimp your PC kit’ which was included with the Sonic Bling release. Now we’ve started you off we’d really like to see some photies of your very own pimped PC - the more outrageous the better. To spur you on we’re giving away this little fella - a hip hop rap protégé – for the best received.

Say cheeze!!

    where's Alex?

To give ya’ll a clue, we’re giving you a chance to get lizzay with the D-O-Double-Geee…er, basically we’re giving away two tickets to see the master of blinghop, the slangusitic sensei himself S.N.O.O.P. D.O.G.G. - he’s playing a sold-out gig @ Wembley Arena Pavilion on the 12 July (hey, it’s all about cash and connections)…
So, to get your mitts on these Xclusive ticks all ya godda do is guess where Alex (aka A. Dogg) is, and you could find yourself rolling out to the W.E.M.B.L.E.Y. hizzle.

We’re out for now. Next month, we’ll have more ded good revivals, more new music, and even more new developments on PLAY… but fo’ now we’re fixxin’ to get in our drop-top Benz, spin da rims, koolin’ it with Dom P … (ed: will someone remind Lou she’s on Denmark St NOT straight outta Compton)….

Keepin’ it real
Ded Good

Before we go – ponder this…
Business conferences are important because they demonstrate how many people a company can operate without.
